Brief overview of program: The University of Mobile offers a major and a minor in Marine Science. UM is a member of the Marine Environmental Sciences Consortium, a statewide group of 22 colleges and universities that use the Dauphin Island Sea Lab (DISL) as their marine science education facility (not a degree-granting institution). The University of Mobile offers the proven benefits of small class sizes, personalized instruction, and direct contact with faculty focused on teaching. Yet as a member of the consortium, UM offers the resources and education and research opportunities normally possible only in larger programs. Come and reap the benefits of both for your education!

Career opportunities in Marine Science have diversified considerably in the past decade.
