CMS is a strong interdisciplinary group that transcends the traditional oceanographic fields using the latest technologies much of which is developed within our own program.

Chemical Oceanography: Organic Geochemistry, Ocean Nutrients, Radiochemistry, Spectral Acquisition and Processing.
Geological Oceanography: Geophysics—Plate Tectonics, Paleoceanography/Paleoclimatology, Reef Indicators, Seafloor Mapping, Sedimentology and Stratigraphy, x-ray diffraction (XRD).
Physical Oceanography: Ocean Circulation, Ocean Modeling and Prediction, Analysis of Sea Level, Turbulence Modeling.
