Brief overview of program: The ME-USCG option is designed for students who wish to use their engineering degree as a marine engineer. The curriculum consists of courses that provide a traditional undergraduate education in mechanical engineering. In addition, there are courses intended to provide additional training for a marine engineer, much of which is required to obtain the merchant marine third engineer’s license.
