Brief overview of program: Affiliations with two programs have been formalized so that biology students can now take marine biology courses at other institutions and have them count toward their degree. Students can even take their IC financial aid with them!

One program enables students to study coastal and estuarine systems and is offered through the Duke University Marine Laboratory via the Marine Sciences Education Consortium. The other program enables students to study the open ocean and is offered through the Sea Education Association.
