Brief overview of program: The Wildlife program has two majors to choose from, depending upon your career goal. Both prepare you for a career working with both game and non-game species of fish and wildlife. Your choice of majors depends on whether you intend to go on to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in a 4-year program after leaving Hocking College, or whether you plan to enter the job market upon completion of your 2-year degree from Hocking:
Wildlife Management Major: This program is for students primarily interested in seeking employment in fish and wildlife careers after acquiring their 2-year Associate Degree. Most positions with Ohio County and State Parks, and the Ohio Division of Wildlife require a 2-year wildlife degree.
